  • 1 cup salsa Choose your favorite brand.

Preparation

  • Preheat a skillet over medium heat and brown the ground beef, draining the grease.
  • Add the taco seasoning to the browned beef and cook according to package instructions.
  • In the slow cooker, layer refried beans as the base, followed by cooked ground beef.
  • Spread sour cream over the beef, then layer cream cheese on top.
  • Pour salsa over the cream cheese and sprinkle shredded cheddar on top.

Cooking

  • Set the slow cooker to low and cook for 2-3 hours.

Serving

  • Stir gently before serving and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot with tortilla chips.

Notes

For best results, drain the grease from the meat and do not skip the taco seasoning for authentic flavor. You can make this dip ahead of time and assemble the ingredients in the slow cooker before cooking.
