Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well blended.
  • Form the mixture into patties, aiming for about half an inch thick.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add patties to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until browned.
  • In a separate bowl, mix beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Pour the mixture over the patties in the skillet.
  • Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.

Serving

  • Serve hot alongside mashed potatoes or roasted veggies.

Notes

Don't rush the browning stage for deeper flavors. Leftovers store well in an airtight container for 3-4 days. Reheat with moisture for best results.
