  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., sharp cheddar) More cheese for more flavor!
  • 2 cups cooked rice or pasta Brown rice is healthier; pasta can jazz it up.
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder Fresh garlic can be used for better flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Essential for enhancing flavors.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare your chicken if you’re not using rotisserie by boiling, baking, or shredding.
  • In a large bowl, mix your shredded chicken, mixed veggies, cooked rice (or pasta), and desired spices.
  • Add in the cream of chicken soup and mix until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish and top with shredded cheese.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  • Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For the best results, don’t skip preheating the oven, and taste as you go. You can customize with different cheeses and add seasonal ingredients for variety.
