Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare your pan by lining an 8-inch round baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine the sugar, orange juice, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and orange zest.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth out the top.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes.
  • Check for doneness using a toothpick inserted into the center.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
