  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For aromatic flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Classic flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder Adjust according to spice tolerance.

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional) Cheese makes everything better.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prep the bell peppers by cutting off the tops and removing seeds.
  • Cook the rice per package instructions.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, brown the ground meat until no longer pink.
  • In a bowl, mix the cooked rice, meat, diced tomatoes, and spices until well combined.
  • Fill the peppers with the mixed ingredients and top with cheese.
  • Bake in a covered dish for 25 minutes; uncover and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serving

  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving with sides like a fresh salad or roasted veggies.

Notes

For the best results, don't overcook the peppers. Taste as you go and adjust seasonings as needed. These stuffed peppers can also be made vegetarian by swapping out the meat for lentils or mushrooms.
