Liquid Base

  • 4 cups Low-sodium chicken or vegetable broth For moisture.

Starch

  • 1 cup Rice or quinoa Choose your preferred option.

Herbs

  • 1/4 cup Fresh basil or parsley Chopped, adding it enhances flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • Chop the onion, dice the carrots, and slice the bell pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pot or skillet.
  • Add the onion first, cooking it until translucent.
  • Then toss in the carrots and bell peppers, stirring until softened (about 5 minutes).
  • Add the ground turkey, breaking it up as it cooks until browned.
  • Sprinkle in the garlic powder, paprika, and cumin.
  • Pour in the broth and add fresh herbs if desired.
  • Cover the pot and simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Taste and adjust seasonings before serving.
  • Serve hot, optionally over rice or quinoa.
